| I planted 4 seeds around mid April in peat pots (all 4 germinated) and kept them on the windowsill for one week. They were then left outside under glass for the next 3 weeks to harden off before transplanting. All seedlings started off well and grew very uniform.
After 4 weeks they were transplanted to buckets containing standard potting compost with added vermiculate and left on the shed roof all summer. During vegetative growth they were given Terra Vega nutes with one dose of SuperThrive each week. All four plants grew very vigorously all summer and ended up about 1.8 metres tall at the onset of flowering. It should be noted that I topped one plant to see how it would react, and it seemed to like it. Consequently this plant only grew to 1.3 metres with 2 large main colas – so if plant height is an issue topping is an option with this strain.
Once flowering started (the last week of July) I switched to Terra Flores and B’Cuzz Bloom Stimulator throughout the flowering period. I harvested mid September and the buds were large and dense, so dense that I lost some to mould. Manicuring took ages as the plant had a lot of leaf as is common for a Sativa. It should be noted that none of the plants had any hermie tendencies that I thought was impressive as I know that feminised seeds are prone to this. While the buds were drying they had a distinct smell of menthol that changed and became much fruitier during curing.
The smoke is definitely the best outdoor weed I’ve smoked. The effects take a while to come on, but when they do there is a nice balance between body stone and head buzz that goes on for at least 2 hours.
I will probably grow this strain again as I was very impressed with how easy it was to grow and the quality of the end product. I will have to try something to minimize the bud mould though, because if it had been a wet summer I could have lost the lot.
