The indica pheno was pretty easy during flowering while the sativa plant was a bit more picky as to nutrient levels, probably stemming from the White Widow heritage. They say the Widow is "not for the beginner". They might be right.
Maturation times varied alot between phenos; the indica goes for 9 weeks whereas the sativa could go 11+. At the end of flowering yields were pretty equal in weight but the indica buds were much bigger and denser. The bud sizes of the indica were much larger than expected. I had pop can sized buds and I was only pushing maybe 250 watts.
SMELL- The indica plant has a very strong odor to it right from the start. The sativa pheno has some odor to it but mainly just towards the end.
TASTE- The taste category goes to the sativa pheno as it was much more mellow and easy to smoke. Actually it was one of the better tasting ganjas I had tried even though it didn't have any fruityness to it. The indica hit harder and was more harsh smoke. Both I would say to be very smooth and earthy.
EFFECT- Exactly what it was made for, body stone that gave you the munchies. Once again the sativa had more of a head high but I still wouldn't consider it an up high. I smoked a few bowls of the sativa before work and it didn't put me to sleep but than again I didn't really feel like working too hard.
All in all I think it's a great strain, one of my favorites. Still I would recommend picking the heavy indica phenos. The sativa phenotypes just didn't do it for me; it wasn't worth the extra time and attention required to get good results.
Totally organic soil using Earth Juice, peruvian seabird guano and alaska moorbloom fish fert. Grown in a cabinet under a 150 watt HPS and a few extra floros. Finished off in 3 and 4 gallon pots.
