Rez's Sour Queen, is Double Sour Diesel crossed with Killer Queen. Now based on genetics this should be a sativa dom cross, but growth structure makes it appear to be more indica. I'm sure this is a result of the DSD which has a leaf structure straight from the Jurassic period. I germed 6 of these puppies, and I got 6 sprouts... Same as always with Rez's seeds I culled the first up, and the last up. Don't ask me why I do it, but it has always worked for me in the past to give me the most uniform seed plants. Early growth was a bit slow, and I thought that maybe this cross wasn't going to work for me, but I gave them a couple of weeks and now all but one are flourishing. The Sour Queens have taken advantage of their increased space and have really branched out. This plant would do very well in SCROG as it has branches everywhere. They seem to be doing a lot of veg development but not much on the flowers. I?m guessing they should start kicking into production soon. SQ No1 is mammoth. I hope she puts out.
SQ turned out to be a big surprise. I didn't think much of her through the first few weeks. It looked very bushy with small bud sites throughout. I started to think that trimming this plant would be a pain in the butt. But, after removing the fan leaves I was pleased to find rock hard nug formations underneath. The Sour Queen No1 had a dominant central cola and nice smaller buds as well. The No3 was a bush of uniform buds all sugar coated. The last week brought on a change in the smell and appearance of the plant. The smell which had been weak through week 7 took on a strong musty aroma, with more than a hint of chemical smell. I'm thinking this is the DSD taking over. The leaves also turned from dark green, to a purplish-blue color which really makes the trics stand out. These two plants alone almost filled half of the dry room. I really wish I hadn't lost the No1 pheno of this plant, but at least I have more seeds

Sour Queen Smoke Report

I finally made it back with the Smoke Report on Sour Queen from Reservoir Seeds. It has cured for a couple of weeks. Smoking was done over the course of a few days, as it is really hard to write a decent report while high on the SQ. Consumption methods included pipe, bong and vape. Testers included my wife and me (with some of O.G.'s comments as well).

Appearance -

These are some great looking buds. Dark red hairs against a background of dark green to blue leaf. The resin coating is easy to see and makes the buds shine, can you say "Bling-Bling". In the middle between dense and fluffy a quad of the SQ does a good job filling a bag. I'd give it an 8 on bag appeal.

Smell -

Overwhelming, nose busting, stench. Very strong smell of skunk's ass, mixed with rocket fuel, and a hint of pine. Cured buds stink! I brought some to a buddy in a Smelly-Proof bag, and this is the first strain that stunk through the bag. Smell gets a 10.

Taste -

Thank god the taste doesn't match the smell or you couldn't smoke too much of it. Taste is piney, with a dank earthy finish. Somewhat strong tasting, the flavor will stay with you for a while. It gets a 7 for taste.

High/Effect -

Sour Queen is strait up loco weed. You've heard the expression 'Smoke yourself stupid', well one bong load of the SQ and you're there. I don't know if it is the DSD or the G-13 but something in this bud will sap your mental capacity. More than once I started a session with the intent of writing this report only to finish my bong load and zone out for an hour. Not couchlocked mind you, but brainlocked. A lot of scratching my head going "Fuck.... what was I doing?" Effect is quick, and the duration is a solid couple of hours, before your mental faculties return. Needless to say this one is up there on the potency scale, I'd give it a 9.

Overall -

Sour Queen is no joke. It should come with a warning label about operating heavy machinery while under the influence. Not for the novice, or casual smoker, but for the hardcore stoner who doesn't have shit to do.... for a while. Very introspective, may be helpful for those with ADD/ADHD. Other than that can't think of any medical use for this bud; it is strictly recreational. Fantastic yielder, combined with great smell, and devastating high earn this one an 8.
