This was first attempt to grow. I bought a pack of FemenizedXXXtraSkunks from World Wide Seeds. Seeing it was my first time germinating I only sprouted 3. All germinated but I nute burned two and was left with one..yes one. I figured Id learn about veg'n a plant and hope for a female. My one femenized sees was female. I will update or add report when I pop the other seven, but looks good so far. Sexing was eary about 3 weeks in I saw female traits. I veg'd for 49 days but I probably could have shaved some time off...I was very slow about moving the plant near MH. I also didnt run 24 hour lighting because I read it would possibly increase hermaphodite chances...not sure if thats the case. So Im guess at least a week could have been deducted from my veg time.
Yield was just shy of 4oz while tossing over 1/4oz of tiny buds into bronwnie oil. Odor was heavy during flower but easy to contain with good ventilation. This plant was a bush as you can see. I flowered her at ~13-14 inches and she was ~35 when finished. Close to 4ft wide. I harvested with mostly cloudy trichs/about 20% amber. Couch lock type high, not very up. I only 'flushed' for 5 days but eased off on nutes late flower.
Wonderful n smooth going down and long skunky aftertaste. As I said, Couchy not heady. Appetite after smoking is out of control! For some, the pics will tell the story maybe a bit better than I. You cant go wrong if you love skunks...your getting what your looking for here. Doesnt quite hit you like the deez..lol...but a solid skunk to say the least.
I apologize for no dried bud shots. Upon starting my 2nd grow and wanting to take pics of it as well as my skunk..the digi shit the bed. I was using my cell for about 2 weeks for pics and never got pics of the buds after cure. Can provide nice shots of her in flower and harvest buds. Ill get some nice dried macros up next round with XXXtraSkunk.
Garden Information for this report Nutes used: GH Flora Nova and Hygrozyme enzyme formula. She drank nothing bud distilled water. Hydro medium: 3 Pary Vermiculite, 1 part perlite, 1 part styrofoam...2 inch lava rock bottom of 3 gallon pot. Noting high tech as far as method used. The pot sat in a watering tray 3 inches deep and was pretty much kept full constantly or watered when dry. Method out of one Ed Rosenthals grow books. Lighting: 400w MH and some random side lighting here and there with 30 watt strips. 4x3 closet space. 2 fans good for 45 sq feet were used-One pulling fresh air in...out into attic. |
