| Sad to report that I was disappointed with this race... Being a great fan of fruit flavors I was excited to read that Mango was renowned for its quick growth and fruity flavor... Well it was one out of two...
I started 4 seeds from sacred original packaging and 3 germinated. 2 out of 3 were females, but they were different phenos: one lanky plant and one stocky... Vegetation went quickly: 35 days or so at the end of which I had one 4 ft. and one almost 6ft. tall plant...
The taller plant did not finish well at all despite its growth characteristics. It flowered very quickly (both plants finished flowering in 40-45 days!) and yielded barely 75 grams of trimmed, but slightly hermaphrodite buds. Her sister however fared much better. She was stout and her buds filled in thickly with some of the tightest colas I've seen in a while (excluding perhaps some Blue Heaven I am currently working on).
The buds before drying and curing had a fruity and spicy odor (although it should also be added she was sharing her space with 2 monster Ravens Bubble Berry plants), which provoked me to salivate in anticipation, as I harvested a good 200 grams dried...
The flavor of the smoke however left me somewhat disappointed: very spicy, reminding me of certain Gray or Silver Hazes. Not unpleasant but definitely not fruity.
The effects are strong and physical. A heavy indica effect tiring and relaxing. Very good for menstrual cramps or muscular tension. Not very heady and has a tendency to make me tired, which considering that I smoke a lot (5-6 mixed j's a day), is not always what I seek. So definitely a nighttime smokeable. I apologize for format as this my first report, and I have just bought my first digital camera. So this is only the second harvest I could document. I hope to be able to share more interesting reports in seasons to come.
