| Of 12 seeds, I had one that was female. I grew it outside in FULL sun, in Central Ontario, Canada. Big dark fan leaves were classic of this original Indica strain.
Beautiful full buds, (mine had purple flowers from the lower temperature outside) I grew with organic ferts, not much at that, and the yield reflected this. Very very drought resistant, clones easily (I had 100% success rate) stalks like a TREE! Potency was crap at first, but after three weeks of curing, they were decent indeed! Only got better as the weeks went by.
Everyone that smoked it loved it, and when I told people it was Afghani, they all said the same thing "Ahhh, I knew I recognized that high", none of them knew what the Indica flavor and high were all about. This is the REAL DEAL as far as the genuine Indica hash plants go... next season I’ll make hash and oil for sure.
CONS: I had a serious drying issue. It took my single plant FIVE, yes FIVE weeks to show any signs of drying. The temperature was a steady 70-75 degrees with 45% humidity. I was very disappointed because I lost about a quarter of the buds to mold because of this.
Was my first grow, I had some bagseed going as well, but the Afghani outperformed the others at every turn. My final bud count was 45 grams dried buds. It is what it is, an original "KING of Cannabis"
Garden Information for this report Outdoor I dig 2 feet wide, 4 feet down and back-fill 6 inches from the top with PRO-MIX (special formula from the 80's someone gave me, it's nothing special) fed with PureBlend-PRO vegetative and PureBlend- Metabolic Bloom Formula mixed with a gallon of water for each plant. Started flowering about halfway through August, and was harvested October 10th. All my plants are given uncompromised FULL sun. |
