Breeder's Description - 'Northern Lights x Shiva' | | Northern Lights crossed with Shiva creates wonderfully pungent sweet buds with bountiful THC. This plant has high flower to leaf ratio. NL/Shi has a bit spicier smoke when compared to Northern Lights and has a more complex buzz. This strain is a timeless classic. NL/Shi has a exotic aroma, is relatively easy to grow and clone.

Nirvana NLxShiva was a very nice variety to grow.
They branch out quite nicely and often "top" themselves somehow
just so they can grow more branches. This was very good for me and it
provided for a pretty decent yeild.

This was my first grow in 2001. NL x Shiva was a great place to start. The plants grew quickly and were very forgiving. I kept the pH around 6 - 6.2 (now I keep it lower). There was only a little diversity in phenotypes, all had fat, triangular leaves.
The males showed preflowers pretty early. I placed most of the plants into the flowering area and kept one female for clones: she showed preflowers. Out of six I put into flower one was male and was removed.
The leaves were COVERED in trichomes! At that time I didn't knwo about making hash so I didn't do anything with them. If I ever want to make hash this is the plant I will grow.
The smoke was great. It laid me out for the duration with one toke. Don't expect to drive while enjoying this.
Nirvana seeds have never let me down.

This is the first time I have grown this strain. I really was not sure what to make of this strain, but due to the f'up in my room I needed to drop a few more seeds to max the sq footage.

3 seeds germinated and 1 was female. She was average size with tight internodes during vegitative growth. It doubled in height between 12/12 and finish. Easy to grow, I couldn't kill it as hard as I tried. Good yield. Great smoke, quite potent. The couple other people who've had any have raved also.

This was my first real grow and I was amazed with every aspect of this plant. Extremely easy to grow, almost like it took care of itself. It loved nutes and was not over-sensitive. The foliage is a beautiful dark green.

Northern Lights x Shiva is not a new strain for me. I've grown 6 cycles with it which equals about a year of experience with it. The plant is very hardy and will put up with a good deal of abuse.
