| I got this strain because of all the great things one reads about it. First of all the potency and it's ability to function as a painkiller.
Veg:
I started 4 seeds, don't remember if it was me or the seeds, but out of those 2 germinated. In veg these plants were nothing unusual. Normal growth, slightly purple stems which seem to be a trait of this strain. Not much to say about growth really... Preflowers showed rather early. WR is also an easy cloner, due to lots of good branches I had a good base to start from. They all rooted. Not much to say about growth apart from that, pretty normal.
Flower:
In flower the one female I got started to stretch, like I expected it to, considering its sativa dominance. Wasn't too bad at all tho, just a bit more than the indica dominant plants in the system. Buds looked very unique, dark green and very compact. They didn't start swelling for a long time, when the others had already finished budding, this one took of. Not as much as expected tho. I harvested this one at day 60. Smell was very fruity at that time, the buds were covered in resin. The buds I harvested were very compact; in fact I was not able to squeeze them at all... great product.
Smoke:
The final product looks greenish brown, the buds are incredibly compact and sticky, are broken up easily (with a grinder), and smoke perfectly smooth in a joint. Many describe the high as very strong, but I don't really agree. Haven't smoked enough to really be able to tell, but compared to my AK48 it doesn't stay in your body for hours and keep you flying. It's more of a stoney, mellow high which numbs your body. The buds smell like citrus cleaner, the smoke is a bit sour, kinda like NYCD.
Opinion:
The WR is ok in all aspects, the only things I was disappointed by a bit: I expected it to be more potent than the AK, but obviously they are very different and the AK is generally stronger. What I liked was the apparently small yield which turned out to be above average due to the bud's density.
Garden Information for this report 6 (1 WR) plants grown in NFT under 1 400w HPS using a simple 0.7m² scrog. Flushed the 2 last weeks with organic teas. |
