Breeder's Description - 'Ice' | | With Ice we have successfully attempted to bring quality and quantity together. Ice has ancestors of Afghani, a very special Skunk, Northern Light, and Shiva. An intense selection process of thousands of plants was used in finding this special mix. Ice flowers are richly covered in trychomes and have a dense consistency. Buds form along main branches and there is a high flower to leaf ratio. Fantastic for hydro and soil applications. The stone is heavy and the aroma is almost like fuel. Ice is a winner of the 1998 Cannabis Cup.

I had two distinct phenotypes:
The first was was more Sativa influenced and was a harder to contain in my small flower space. Would have done much better outside. Flowers were very large but the bottom 1/4 of the flower was strechy.

This Ice plant was the only one that survived until harvest. Planted 4 outside early Spring that were already establish for ~1 month. 2 were male, got mauled. One got munched on by rabbits.

I grew Ice from clone. IMO this strain was very sensitive to wind and nutes.
My problems with this plant grew so big that I had to cut her down on day 31 of bloom. She still produced a lot of resin and some nice buds.

Ice is one of my faves. It produces so many resin glands that the plant is completely covered. The high is nice and uplifting and will not turn you into a couch potato. Started out with 5 seeds, 100% germ rate!
Seedlings were vegged for about 6 weeks and then put into 12/12. In about the 4th or 5th week of Veg there was a strong odor though, so Carbon scrubbers had to be turned on at this point.

I thoroughly enjoyed this plant! I am re-growing it right now. Don't let my numbers fool you, I think I may have messed up somewhere with the hydro solution. Five seeds germinated out of six, in 3 days, directly in soil.
They stayed for a week under 54w of fluoros and then for other three weeks under 250w of HPS.

I grew my ICE from seeds (3 plants totally) and vegged them with 18/6 hours of light/dark for 2 weeks
I transplanted on the 13th day and till that day I used 3 x 17W fluoro lamps

Planted 8 seeds in soil mix under 400w in less than a square meter..
After 13 days of vegetative i put in bloom whith 5-6 nodes each plant..
found 4 females, 12/12 for 49 days, harvest 20-30% amber.
THe yeld is 150g buds trimmed, and 40g of selected trimming 4 the hash..

In veg, she showed sex (pre-flowers) at day 22. Which was great! I don’t believe that she is the nute hog like others say. I never over fed her and still there was a slight nute burn (fox farm products).

This was my first grow, I only germinated one Ice seed (along with a few other seeds of other strains). It sprouted and turned out to be female (my only one actually). VEG: I started 7 plants total, and ended up with 4 females. All the plants were similar in structure. Very branch and somewhat short. I used fish emulsion once a week for veg. They smelled very skunky during veg.

Planted seeds 10 seeds, lost 7 due to soil buggers.
Tossed out 1 male so 2 females were kept.
They grew out quite fast, had some troubles with nutes: they went from gimme more to a serious burn..

Veg: I started 3 seeds, and vegged under florou's for 5 days, then moved under a 1000W MH were they were vegged for an additional 22 days. 27 days total veg.

I started these 3 plants, dubbed the ICE Girls, directly into flower from seedlings at about 6-7".
I had 4 of 6 beans show female in 5 days of 12/12. I used GH Flora nutes at 5ml/10ml/15ml per gallon. Spider mites attacked at 2 weeks, I put in a No Pest Strip and raised RH to 70%. Mites were gone, but the high RH caused 1 top to get feathery mildew by week 7 and a small portion (2"-3") of the infected cola was removed early. By day 54 1 plant was totally ambered and I decided to harvest. The sativa natured tops were easy to trim and the density yielded way more than expected.
Garden Information for this report Room is 8'x8'x4' Flood and drain Hygroton for 15min every 3 hours with GH Flora Series nutes@ about 1400-1500ppm 10-15" under a 430w Son Agro HPS. Constent ventilation and airflow. |

First of all let me say this is the best Nirvana's strain I've grown; very good final quality and quite good stability.
I started with 10 seeds bought in Amsterdam , got 4 females. One was given to a friend and now is a wonderful mother plant used to make clones.
